Manual Directions

From the West (Missoula, Butte)

Take the Cardwell exit #256 off of Interstate-90 after Whitehall and turn right, driving south on MT 359 until the road meets Route 287. Cross 287 (a short jog right onto 287, then a left – do not cross the railroad tracks) and take the gravel road (Old Mill Road) going east for two miles through three right angle turns. You will come to a stone entrance, which is the beginning of the monastery’s driveway. Follow this driveway for 2.1 miles, and the chapel will be on your right, beside the lake.

From the East (Bozeman)

Take the Wheat/Helena exit #274 off of Interstate-90 after Three Forks and turn left, going south on Route 287 until Mile Marker 77. Just before the Mile Marker and the railroad tracks, turn left (east) onto the gravel road (Old Mill Road). If you cross the railroad tracks on 287, you have missed Old Mill Road. Stay on Old Mill Road for two miles through three right angle turns. You will come to a stone entrance, which is the beginning of the monastery’s driveway. Follow this driveway for 2.1 miles, and the chapel will be on your right, beside the lake.
