COVID Summer 2020

In spite of having to cancel our popular youth camp due to Covid in 2020, many volunteer workers visited throughout the summer, camping out by the lake and helping us complete the masonry and stone work on Building A, pour the footings and foundation walls on the extensive cloister, and extend the masonry and stonework on Building B.

In the spring there will be more slip forms to build and another mixer to assemble in preparation for 2021’s youth camp, God willing.

Because the feast of St. Peter and Paul falls mid-week this summer, we’re scheduling youth camp a week later than usual and hoping to conclude the camp on Independence Day weekend when we traditionally invite the faithful throughout State to celebrate the national holiday on the Monastery grounds.  The later camp date will also make it easier for our Canadian neighbors to avoid school conflicts and attend the camp.

We're eager to have Father Innocent and Brother Donald back with us this summer and have reason to believe that other monastics will be joining them.  Please remember the brothers at St. John and St. Herman of Alaska in your prayers, as well as St. Peter's that God's will be done in Montana as it is in Heaven.

Glory to God.
